When she is not supervising the Pilates workouts of Katrina Kaif, Vaani Kapoor, and other Bollywood celebs, fitness trainer Yasmin Karachiwala can be seen posting health and wellness recommendations on social media, and this week is not an exception. Are you experiencing hair loss this winter? With the help of Yasmin, we learned what may be causing it and how to manage hair fall difficulties in addition to hair oiling.
Yasmin took to social media to upload a dramatic educational video in which she can be seen proposing to apply hair oil to a friend's head before dermatologist Dr. Jaishree Sharad intervenes and tells her not to. This is explained by Yasmin in the caption of her Instagram post, which reads, "Losing hair may seem like losing a piece of yourself, right?" Nevertheless, I continue to hear that oiling our hair can aid in the development of our hair from everyone. In your opinion, what do you think about this? It may be beneficial, but it is far more essential to understand the underlying reasons of hair loss! (sic).”
Causes of hair loss:
According to Dr Jaishree, hair loss can be due to -
1. Genetics
2?. Stress and smoking
3?. Starvation diet
4?. Illness or surgery
5?. Hair styling products
Yamin asserted, “Understanding these facts can help you find remedy/repair much easier (sic).”
Solution:
As per the dermatologist and Yasmin, hair loss can be repaired by -
1. High protein diet
2?. Reducing stress
3?. Avoiding heat styling and using too many products
4?. Taking medicines prescribed by a dermatologist
5?. Taking supplements like biotin, calcium, iron, magnesium, and zinc.
Bhagyashree, a Bollywood actor and nutritionist, had previously expressed her support for the cause in a wellness video. "Increasing the levels of biotin, folate, sulphate, zinc, Vitamin A, Vitamin D, and Vitamin B12 can help to reduce hair fall," she explained further. "However, it is recommended that you see a doctor assess your deficiency (sic)."
