After losing in the T20 World Cup 2022 semi-finals, Team India is ready to start again. The Men in Blue are in New Zealand for a three-match T20I series under new captain Hardik Pandya. The first game of the series will be played on Friday, November 18, at Sky Stadium in Wellington.
Ahead of the first match, New Zealand cricket posted a video on Instagram of their respective captains, Kane Williamson of New Zealand and Pandya of India, riding crocodile bikes and interacting with each other. The trophy for the T20I series was also unveiled on the occasion. The video soon went viral on social media and can be watched here.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) also tweeted about the trophy unveiling ceremony and wrote “How's that for a Trophy unveil!”.
Both India and New Zealand had reached the T20 World Cup semi-finals. New Zealand had been defeated by Pakistan by 7 wickets, while India had been defeated by eventual champions England by 10 wickets.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been rested for the series against New Zealand. The BCCI has offered new faces the opportunity to participate in the tour. Umran Malik, a promising fast bowler who has impressed with his raw pace in the IPL and the Syed Mustaq Ali Trophy, is also in the team. Washington Sundar, Harshal Patel, Sanju Samson, and Deepak Hooda are among the young players on the squad.
During the tour, Team India will also play a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series. Shikhar Dhawan will lead the team in the one-day international series. Rishabh Pant will be the tour's vice-captain.
