From Friday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts a partly overcast sky for three days, with Sunday being dry. A cyclonic circulation is expected to form over southwest Rajasthan on January 22 and is causing light rain.

The night temperature decreased somewhat after reaching 20 degrees Celsius on Monday and Tuesday, which was above typical. The Santacruz observatory of the IMD recorded a normal minimum temperature of 17.2 degrees Celsius on Thursday. The minimum temperature is expected to drop to 13 degrees Celsius on January 24, according to the IMD's seven-day prediction. The minimum temperature is expected to continue below normal for the next seven days, ranging between 13 and 16 degrees Celsius.

In the coming days, the daytime or maximum temperature will drop even further. The maximum or day temperature on Thursday was 30.6 degrees Celsius, which was a degree below usual. On January 24, the maximum temperature is expected to decrease to 27 degrees Celsius, according to the forecast.

The season's lowest morning, at 13.2 degrees Celsius, was reported earlier this month. In January, the average maximum temperature is 31.1 degrees Celsius, with a mean low temperature of 17.3 degrees Celsius.

The lowest minimum temperature was 14.8 degrees Celsius last year, and 11.4 degrees Celsius the year before. The lowest minimum temperature ever recorded was 7.4 degrees Celsius on January 22, 1962.
