According to authorities, the Covid-19 positivity rate in Goa reached 10 percent (10.77 percent) on Sunday, when 388 out of 3,604 samples submitted for testing were found to be positive.
The percentage of optimism increased significantly in a short period of eight days, reaching 2.33 percent on the 26th of December.
Officials reported that one death brought the total number of deaths in the coastal state to 181,570, while another brought the total number of deaths to 3,523, according to the latest figures.
Even as officials prepared for a spike in visitors for New Year's festivities, they stated that only persons who are completely vaccinated would be admitted in public locations and restricted the population to 50 percent of the overall capacity of the venue, leading to a rise in cases.
So far, 176,376 individuals have been released, including 54 on Sunday, leaving the state with a total of 1,671 people still in the hospital, according to the report.
