While it is commonly stated that dogs are man's best friend, a Tamil Nadu man showed this to be true. Muthu, an 82-year-old retired government employee, has created a temple in Sivaganga's Manamadurai in honour of his late dog Tom. Muthu told the news agency ANI that he has more passion for his dog than for his child. "Tom had been with me since 2010, but he passed away in 2021. My grandfather and father were all dog owners "He stated.
Muthu spent 80,000 on a marble statue of his late dog, which was installed in January of this year. According to his son, Manoj Kumar, they plan to build a temple for the dog in the future. He went on to say that daily offerings are offered to the dog's statue. "We offer food and decorate the statue on auspicious days and every Friday," said Manoj Kumar, Muthu's son.
