Parts of Rajasthan were hit by severe cold on Wednesday with Fatehpur in Sikar being registered as the coldest spot in the state after reaching a low temperature of 2.5 degrees Celsius.
Temperatures dropped significantly at night in various parts of the state, according to weather officials.
As a result, the coldest spot was Fatehpur in Sikar, which had the lowest temperature of 2.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday night. The second coldest place was Churu, which had a minimum temperature of 3.4 degrees Celsius.
3.8 degrees Celsius in Karauli, 4.1 degrees in Bhilwara, 4.6 degrees in Chittorgarh and Anta (Baran), 5.1 degrees in Nagaur, 5.5 degrees in Sikar, Vansthali (Tonk), and Alwar, 5.8 degrees in Dabok, and 5.9 degrees Celsius in Tonk, according to the MeT department.
Minimum temperatures of 6.5 degrees Celsius were reported in the state capital of Jaipur and the town of Pilani.
Additionally, according to the MeT, the frigid conditions will stay constant for the next 24 hours.
