Maharashtra reports 11 fresh Omicron cases, 8 from Mumbai

Maharashtra's health officials reported on Tuesday that the state has found 11 new cases of the Omicron strain of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 65.

Because of the most recent Omicron cases in Maharashtra, the country's total number of such infections has increased to 211.

According to officials, eight Omicron patients were discovered during monitoring at the Mumbai airport, with one case each from the Pimpri Chinchwad, Osmanabad, and Navi Mumbai districts.

The researchers also reported that 34 of the 65 Omicron patients had been released after receiving a negative RT-PCR report.

The Omicron type of coronavirus has been found in 12 states and union territories in India so far, with 77 people having recovered or moved, according to a statement released earlier on Tuesday by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

According to the health ministry, Delhi has reported 54 cases of the Omicron variety, while Telangana has recorded 20, Karnataka has recorded 19, Rajasthan has recorded 18, Kerala has recorded 15 and Gujarat has recorded 14.
