The judges on India's Got Talent were moved by a contestant's testimony of his wife leaving him because of his drinking problem.
In a new preview for an upcoming edition of India's Got Talent, the judges are shown being blown away by a singer's performance before becoming heartbroken over his tragic life tale.
Contestant Rajeev Chamba performs in front of the judges—Shilpa Shetty, Badshah, Manoj Muntashir, and Kirron Kher—in a promo video published by Sony Entertainment Television on their official Instagram feed.
The video montage shows Rajeev consuming alcohol while he admits that his wife left him because of some of his "bad habits," hinting that his wife left him because of his drinking problem. He then goes on to perform the popular song Laayi Bhi Na Gayi, which causes the judges to become emotional.
Shilpa applauds him at the end of his song, saying, "Jab koi toote hue dil se gaata hai, usme itni taaqat hoti hai ki woh dilon ko jod sake (When someone sings with a wounded heart, it has the capacity to mend hearts as well)." Following Rajeev's performance, the four judges give him a standing ovation.
