Harnaaz Sandhu, Miss Universe 2021, has arrived in Vietnam to appear in the Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 pageant. The beauty queen just arrived in the Southeast Asian country and has been constantly updating her Instagram family with glimpses from her stay there. Harnaaz paid homage to Vietnamese culture by donning the country's traditional clothing, Ao Dai, after dazzling netizens with gorgeous photographs of herself in a white mini dress and blazer combination. She went on to say that it reminded her of a Punjabi suit.
On Friday, the Miss Universe organization's official Instagram page posted videos of Harnaaz on their Instagram stories. It showed the 22-year-old starlet dressed in the traditional Vietnamese dress, Ao Dai, which consists of a silk tunic and pants. Harnaaz looked stunning in a yellow and gold variant. She even mentioned how the Ao Dai resembled the Punjabi suit.
The video begins with Harnaaz saying, "Look at this beautiful outfit. This is the traditional Vietnamese outfit called Ao Dai and it reminds me of a Punjabi suit, which is an Indian style dressing. I really love the fabric. It's so comfortable and I am so so happy to wear this finally." In the end, Harnaaz twirled around to show her fans how the outfit looked. When it comes to the details, Ao Dai Harnaaz wore a tunic and pants. The top comes in bright yellow and golden hues. It has a round neckline, subtle brocade embroidery throughout, long sleeves, side waist-high slits, and a sheer light yellow panel underneath.
Harnaaz styled the tunic with bright yellow flared pants, golden strappy heels, statement rings, bracelets, and dangling ornate earrings. Finally, the glam options included a side-parted open hairdo, smoky eye shadow, winged eyeliner, thick mascara on the lashes, a nude lip tint, glowing complexion, and reddened cheeks.
Meanwhile, the Miss Universe Vietnam pageant will be held on Saturday, June 25, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in Ho Chi Minh City. The beauty contest will be held for the fifth time.
