The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) issued a circular to all ministries and federal entities on Tuesday, amending some procedures aimed at combating the Covid-19 pandemic at the federal level.
The circular is in accordance with the UAE government's directives regarding the "Green Pass Protocol" for all federal government employees and the general public seeking federal government services nationwide, which will go into effect on January 3, 2022.
The authority urged ministries and federal agencies to follow the procedures outlined in its circular No. 21 of 2021, ensuring that access to these departments is restricted to those who have received two doses of UAE-approved Covid-19 vaccines and booster shots, as well as a negative PCR test every 14 days to maintain the green status on the Al Hosn app.
Meanwhile, those with vaccination exemptions will be allowed entry if their green status on the Al Hosn app is active, which will necessitate a PCR test every seven days. Children under the age of 16 will not be required to take the PCR test.
According to the circular, unvaccinated individuals and those with "grey status" on the Al Hosn will be denied entry into federal government entities.
The authority encouraged federal government employees to use the free PCR test service offered by the Ministry of Health and Community Protection via the "Shefaa" application.
