The use of an unknown feature on Apple iPhones has stunned the internet. The Apple iPhone's Live Listen feature can literally be used to secretly listen in on any private conversation, even through walls. This iPhone feature was recently discovered by TikTok user Dalilamouhib, who shared how to use the iPhone Live Listen to feature to secretly hear what partners and friends are saying from a distance.

The TikToker, who shared the post, said in her video, "You can hear everything, everything through your AirPods." She also told her followers that if they forget or leave their iPhone in a room where people are talking, they can go to another room and hear what they're talking about behind their backs. It's audible and clear through the AirPods. It's completely top-secret. "And they're not aware of it," she added.

Well! That is correct. The Live Listen feature on Apple iPhones can be used as a microphone to secretly listen to conversations while in another room. According to the Apple website, this was created to assist users in hearing a conversation in a noisy environment or even hearing someone speaking across the room.

Live Listen to turns iPhones, iPads, and iPods into microphones that send conversations to connected AirPods, AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, Powerbeats Pro, or Beats Fit Pro.

How to Use the iPhone's Live Listen Function

To enable this feature, slide down to open the control center, then tap on the hearing icon to enable the Live Listen feature. After that, the device can be left in a room and everything said can be recorded.

Wait! There is a snag! This feature is limited to the range of the Bluetooth connection.

If you're concerned and want to know if the Apple iPhone's Live Listen feature was used against you, here's how to find out. If Live Listen is enabled, an orange microphone icon appears in the top left corner of the iPhone screen. That's how you know.

According to Tom Peet of the Repair Outlet, this feature was created to assist those who are deaf or hard of hearing. "Despite the many other obvious 'uses' it may have," he explained, "the feature is designed to assist those who are hard of hearing so that they can place their phone near a noise source and hear it even from a long distance."

On TikTok, Dalilamouhib's video has received over 3 million likes.
