The Indian Travel Exhibition (ITE) held on March 17-19, 2023 at the Manpho Convention Centre in Bengaluru was a tremendous success. The event was organized by the Asian Arab Trade Chamber of Commerce and managed by Show Buddy Entertainment. Travel Trade Connect was the Magazine Partner, while Vistara News and Indian Journo were the Media Partners. Salaam Haji & Salaam Holidays served as associate sponsors for the event. 92.7 Big FM was the partner radio station. The event was also supported by the Karnataka Travel Agents Association (TAAK), the Karnataka Traders Chamber of Commerce (KTCC), the Business Achievers India Foundation (BAIF), the Hajj Travel Agent Federation of India, and others.
At the heart of this event was Abdul Musaddiq, the Managing Director of the Asian Arab Trade Chamber of Commerce, whose leadership and vision brought together exhibitors from different nations, creating a dynamic and vibrant marketplace of ideas and opportunities. The event demonstrated his dedication to promoting the growth and development of the travel and tourism sector, as well as his ability to unite diverse stakeholders in pursuit of a single objective. The three-day travel and tourism exhibition included leading service providers from different countries, State Governments, Union Territories, Airlines, Cruise lines, Hotels & Resorts, Ticketing Platforms, App based aggregators, Travel Agents, and more. The event attracted tens of thousands of people from throughout the nation and was successful in fostering economic development and cultural cohesion.
In addition to the expo, the organizers conducted a seminar on career prospects in the tourism industry for students on the first day. Rev.Dr.Roy Abraham, Director, Xavier Institute of Management; Prof Retheesh Palakkuzhyil, Co-Founder, Alliance of Indian Tourism Hospitality Industrialists and Educators; Mr.Radha Krishna Holla, President, Karnataka State Tour Operator Association; and Mr.Babu Koshy, Operation Director, Haysans Academy, were the major guests who made the first day's session lively and engaging for students.
On the second day of the event, there was also a panel discussion titled Industry Institution Interaction - An Academic, Business Formula to Bridging the Divide. Prof. Retheesh Palakkuzhyil, industrialist, professor, and co-founder of the Alliance of Indian Tourism Hospitality, served as chairman. The Chief Guest was Akasa Air's Senior Captain, Captain Dinesh Rathinasamy Balasubramanian. Dr. Thomas Mathew (Hotel Perspective), Prof. Ramya (History Perspective), Dr. Sashi Kumar (Information Technology Perspective), Mr. Panduranga G.M (Industry Perspective), and Ms. Anju Chowdary (Media Perspective) were among the panelists who presented from a variety of different perspectives.
VIPs and visitors also had the chance to explore various travel alternatives, network with industry experts, and learn the newest travel trends and innovations at each exhibitor booth.
