India reports 12,249 new COVID cases, 13 fatalities, and a recovery rate of 98.60%.

COVID active cases increased by 2,374 from Tuesday to 81,687, accounting for 0.19 percent of all illnesses, according to the Union Health Ministry.

New Delhi: According to data from the Union Health Ministry updated on Wednesday, India reported 12,249 new coronavirus infections and 13 fatalities, while active cases increased by more than 2,300 in a 24-hour period.
The data issued at 8 am showed that the most recent updates increased the nation's overall Covid figures to 4,33,31,645 cases, 5,24,903 deaths, and 81,687 active cases.
According to the ministry, there are now 81,687 active cases, up 2,374 from Tuesday, making up 0.19 percent of all illnesses.
As more persons have recovered from the illness (4,27,25,055), the nation's COVID-19 recovery rate was calculated to be 98.60%. The percentage of case fatalities was 1.21 percent.
The ministry reports that as of now, the country has received 196.45 crore doses of the Covid vaccine as part of the widespread vaccination campaign.
On August 7, 2020, India's COVID-19 total had reached 20 lakh. On January 25 of this year, it passed the depressing milestone of four crore cases.
In addition to the 13 new fatalities, there were one death each in West Bengal, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir, and Kerala.
